No matter what we have done or what we are going through or where we have been, God has a hope, plan and a future for us too. God rejoices to see his people to return to him. We rejoice in God when we understand his love for sinners. This is all available to us through Jesus Christ. In the midst of trials, we can have a joy in the Lord Jesus that the world cannot take away. That joy gives us strength to pass through our hardships with victory. That joy gives us strength to honor and bring glory to the Lord.
