Just like every prophecy, every ceremony and every promise throughout the whole Bible, Jesus IS the One who came to satisfy the deepest thirst that lies in all our hearts; our longing for God. Jesus does this by calling on us to come to Him and drink. Jesus wants us to put our faith in Him, to trust Him, rely and cling to Him both now and forever. When we believe in Him, as Scripture has said, Jesus promises us that not only will there be something welling up within us, it will also flow out abundantly from us. How did Jesus accomplish this? It is through the wonderful gift of the Holy Spirit!
