THOSE WHO HOPE IN THE LORD
Isaiah 40:1-31
Key verse 40:31 “but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.”
1. What is the situation of God’s people in verses 1-2? (cf. Ezra 2:1) How is the situation of sinful mankind similar?
2. How did God comfort his people? (3-5) How was the prophecy fulfilled? (cf. Mark 1:2-4)
3. What do verses 6-8 teach us about who we are before God?
