1. What was the motive behind the religious leaders’ question? Why couldn’t they answer Jesus’ counter-question? (1-8)
2. According to Isaiah 5:1,2, Israel is pictured as God’s vineyard. In what respect are we God’s vineyard and what does God expect from us? (9-10a; cf. 1Thessalonians 5:16-18; Galatians 5:22-23)
3. Why did the tenants refuse to give the owner his share of the fruit? (10b-12) Notice the increase of their hostility.
4. Instead of punishing the tenants, why did the owner send his son? How did they treat his son and why? (13-15a)
