 The Character of a True Disciple

Luke 6:27-49

Key Verse 6:40 “The student is not above the teacher, but everyone who is fully trained will be like their teacher.”

                               

1. How can we love our enemies? (27-31; cf. Romans 5:10, Luke 23:34) How is loving our enemies proof that we are God’s children? (32-36)

2. What does it mean “Do not judge”? What should we do instead of judging? (37-38)

3. What does the parable in verses 39-40 mean? How can spiritual blindness be cured? (41-42)

4. How can we recognize a true disciple of Jesus from a false one? (43-45; cf. Matthew 5:16)

5. How can Jesus’ disciples build a solid life foundation? What happens to those who hear Jesus’ words but do not practice them? (46-49)
