In chapter 3, Peter teaches husbands and wives how to live happily so that God may be glorified. He also teaches them how to live in a godless society as Christians. Most importantly, Peter teaches them how to be the defenders of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Today, we continue to learn how to live a holy life in a family, Christian community and our society. Even though Peter seems to teach us many things, the principle is simple and clear: It is to revere Christ as Lord.
