Daniel 6:1-28
Key Verse 6:10 “Now when Daniel learned that the decree had been published, he went home to his upstairs room where the windows opened toward Jerusalem. Three times a day he got down on his knees and prayed, giving thanks to his God, just as he had done before.”
1. Why did the other administrators and satraps try to bring charges against Daniel? (1-4) How did they plan to bring charges against Daniel? (5-9)
2. What was the decree they persuaded the king to issue? (6-9) Why could the king be persuaded to issue such a decree? Why put it into writing “according to the laws of the Medes and Persians”? (8)
3. When Daniel heard about this decree, what did he do? (10) What does Daniel praying openly tell us about his faith in God? (cf. Daniel 1:8) How could he give thanks in such circumstances? (cf. 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18)
