Isaiah 55:1-13
Key Verse 55:1 “Come, all you who are thirsty, come to the waters; and you who have no money, come, buy and eat! Come, buy wine and milk without money and without cost.”

1. To whom is God’s gracious invitation given? (1) What does it mean to be thirsty? How does this invitation reflect God’s grace? (cf. Luke 15:20-24)

 

2. What are the things for which we labor and spend money which do not satisfy? (2; cf. Psalm 127:1-2) What does he provide for those who listen? (2b-3a)

 

3. What was the covenant God made with David and how did Jesus fulfill that promise? (3b-5; cf. 2 Samuel 7:12, Isaiah 9:6-9)

 

4. When must we seek God and why? (6-7) Why must we give up our ways of thinking and doing? (8-9)
